IFS web services API.

IFS products (IFS or STEFI) were originally designed as applications interfacing with host applications using XML files exchanged via the Windows file system. Web services were added to IFS products to:

• Avoid manual file system monitoring of IFS products' server
• Provide immediate feedback on EDI operations
• Provide full validation on host system of exchanged files
• Provide flexibility on the frequency and the trigger of EDI tasks (on demand from host system) From IFS version 4.15, IFS includes IFS API Web Service to provide a synchronous interface to register postal payment operational data from IFS mobile application extension or host systems.

This documentation is the technical reference for any system interfacing the IFS products API Web service. The description is done thanks to tables presenting the following columns:

• Envelope element or attribute (prefixed with @)
• Presence of the element or attribute (fixed occurrence or minimal & maximal occurrences per parent element)
• Possible values.
